December 16th, 2007nag record ako ng cover version ng “If you see her, say hello“, dedicated sa lahat ng mga member ng SMAP. galing ito sa sentimental “blood on the tracks” masterpiece ni dylan. a poor copy compared to the original, if i might add, but worth listening to, kung gusto ninyong intindihin ang lyrics.
kung napapanood ninyo ang californication: sa episode #5, pinayo ng character ni david dochovny ang kantang ito sa anak niya nung first time itong naka experience ng heartbreak.
nung una ay quote galing kay keats ang pinayo ni dochovny pero humirit ang anak niya ng “is that the best you can do, dad? how about something from this century”, hence the dylan song as fatherly advice.
i love it when shows on TV reference lines from songs i like.

October 15th, 2006it’s a rainy and a little bit cold sunday afternoon. to pass the time, i did two recordings of neil young’s “tell me why“. don’t ask my why.
ever since i was a kid, i always wished i had his distinct shrill voice but my dad’s genes gave me and my brothers very deep voices. the best i could do in this case was to speed up the recording during post production. here are the results.

hmmm…. somehow, i kinda like the chipmunk version better. what do you think?
